FAQs

What do I need to wear / bring?
Comfortable pants or leggings and a tight fitting elastic top.  We dance barefoot.  If you'd like to use a coin sash or belt to accentuate hip movement you are welcome.  Level II students need zills.

Do I have to have prior dance experience to take classes?
Not at all.  All levels are welcome.

I'm over 30 / 40 / 50.  Can I learn to belly dance?
Of COURSE you can!  One of the great things about this beautiful dance form is that age, size and body type don't matter.  What does matter is that we dance, that we learn to love and appreciate our bodies, and that we express our power and our femeninity. 




Tribal Style Belly Dance Classes

Come and share in the sisterhood of Tribal Style Belly Dance.  Everyone welcome regardelss of age, body type or experience.





Level I: Warm-up, conditioning, posture, history, basic steps of Tribal Style Belly Dance.

Level II:  Warm-up, conditioning, posture, history, review of the basics, cues and transitions, improvisations, combinations, improvised choreography, zills.

Level III:  Warm-up, conditioning, posture, history, variations and more advanced movement vocabulary,  formations, practice with improvisation and choreography, floorwork, zills, veils, fans, etc.

     Monday & Wednesday 7:00 - 9:00 p.m.
     Tuesday & Thursday 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
     Tuesday & Thursday 6:00 - 7:30 p.m.

  Level III
     Monday & Wednesday 7:00 - 9:00 p.m.
     Tuesday & Thursday 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
 
  Girls (ages 6-12)
     Level I: Wednesday 5:30 - 6:30 p.m.
     Level II: Monday & Wednesday 5:30-6:30 p.m.

Single Class - $75/hour
4-7 hours per month - $60/hour
8-10 hours per month - $53/hour
12-13 hours per month - $47/hour
16-22 hours per month - $40/hour
Unlimited clases in a single month - $900
